(Sabino canyon is a prominent recreational area just north of Tucson)
(you can even take a tram to the top of the Sabino canyon)
(there are 9 stations where you can disembark)
(this is a view of the tram from the Phoneline trail)
(to get to the trailhead you have to cross a small stretch of the desert)
(then walk on the road used by the tram for about half a mile)
(finally you come to the Sabino dam...)
(...where the trail really begins)
(soon you reach the canyon, and the rest of the trail leads basically high along its right slope...)
(this is the final station #9 from where we took the tram back to the Visitor Center)
